Two choirs participate in the worship services at St. Mark's, the Adult Choir and the Youth Choir. Several members of our choirs also contribute their time and talent by singing solos during Communion. Bruce Burrell, who sings tenor in our Adult Choir, also plays flute and clarinet at various points during our worship, and is featured during the prelude to our Easter and Christmas Eve services.
The Youth Choir rehearses every Sunday after church and every Thursday from 7 to 7:45 P.M. from September through the first week of June. Children in grades 2 or higher are welcome to join us. The Youth Choir sings at two or more services each month, and on Christmas Eve and Easter.
The Adult Choir rehearses every Thursday from 8 to 9 P.M. , and sings an anthem at each 9 A.M. Sunday service. This choir also participates in services on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, the Easter, and on Christmas Eve. We are always looking for new members, and would welcome anyone who would like to try us out by attending a rehearsal or two. No audition is required, and you do not need to be able to read music.
